(More customer reviews)Initially I was really impressed with the design, fit, and price. However the first boot I ordered lasted a little over a day, the replacement boot they sent out lasted maybe 3 days. Both were on an older horse in a small paddock with not a lot of movement. Loved the way the went on, seemed to be a great design, but both had the velcro tab rip off within a day or so.

Disclaimer: Field testing of Castle Boots have shown excllent success around the country in various conditions and climates. However, Castle Boots are not the equivalent of a well shoed horse. Deep mud, sharp objects, horses that interfere (step on themselves), and other factors may shorten the life of this product and limit the success of its use.To get the most out of your new Castle Boot, it's important to buy the size that fits your horse. Remove any old nails and file any sharp hoof edges until smooth. Clean dirl/debris out of the hoof. Straps must be tight. Because of the elastic nature of the material, it is very unlikely that you will over tighten it. for 1/2 sizes, if the boot seems a little large, remove and use rotton or rags as necessary to fill in any voids and re-apply
